The Prespa area lies in the northwestern corner of Greece at an altitude of 850 m. Surrounded by mountains it is considered an important trans-boundary national wildlife and nature reserve shared by three countries, Greece, Albania and FYROM.
It is an area that combines wild nature with rich water bodies, magnificent views and unusual tastes. At the limits of the National Reserve, one can observe the rare bird species and enjoy the hiking trails, Byzantine monuments, the traditional settlements of elaborate architecture, the local products and unique hospitality of the local people.
Prespa is an ideal destination for nature lovers as guests can experience one of the last nature and wildlife reserves of Greece.
When departing, we strongly suggest you include in your luggage the famous “Prespa beans”, Florina peppers, honey, jams, “tsironia”, traditional sweets and local wine.

Our village, Agios Germanos, is located at an altitude of 1.100 m and only 7 km away from the Prespa lakes. It is considered by many to be the only village in the surrounding area that still maintains the traditional character and architectural design with its many stone houses.
Visit the church of Agios Germanos built in the 11th century and the church of Agios Athanasios (late 18th century), both of Byzantine and post Byzantine rhythm, known for their well preserved frescos.
Our guests can enjoy a trip around the Prespa lakes. Visit the nearby villages and take a boat trip to Psarades to see the Byzantine rock paintings There are also the Basilica of Agios Achillios, the Mikrolimni Pier, the Koula beach, the rare birds observatory. The local taverns and tastes as well as the traditional sweets are also a must.
Combine your visit with a trip to the Vigla-Pisoderi ski resort in winter and in the summer enjoy the various cultural events and explore the hiking trails.
